ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

Well, (enter speechlessness for several seconds), you have just really blown us away!!

It certainly isn't hard to honor this man or his heart but you've gone beyond anything we could have asked or imagined. As a matter of fact, we're in a place where we have raised EXTRA money and are having to decide whether to add some sweet "extra's" to the house for this family (such as bunk beds, water purification system, concrete wash basin, etc.) or we are about $600 shy of getting to build a second house for another family and those are beautiful decisions to have to make.

It really is amazing the impact one life can have on so many. Your generosity has gone above and beyond and we are humbled and touched truly!

Thank you for partnering with this project to celebrate the gift of a life that desperately wants it to count for the right stuff!

I can't wait til tomorrow night when Mister Jeff gets to hear about what you all have done in his honor - and beyond that in honor of the One who invites us to be part of the Kingdom where the poor live near His heart.

Thank you for reaching out with us. It is an honor to come alongside you in this.

Happy Birthday Mister Jeff...

For those of you logging on chances are great that you received an email or some sort of invitation from Miss Lisa to contribute for this special guy and his special day.

MISTER JEFF IS ABOUT TO TURN 50 and his sweet wife wanted to honor his heart and his life in a very special way this year. We are asking friends and family to partner with us in chipping in in an effort to celebrate the life of this guy and provide a family with a new house in the country of Honduras.

The house that we will be building is a 16 x 16 wood walls and floor with a tin roof that a family is praying and begging God for even now. They believe it's a mansion.

We're honored to partner with you to honor the life of this one who begs to live a life being used for God's kingdom purposes. We believe this will be a great way to honor the desire of his heart in that.

Thanks for stopping by and joining with us to honor Mister Jeff and bless a family in his honor. Gonna be a fun deal!! :)

Where This Started...

Over the past few months, we have noticed a growing number of people that we are associated with wishing to do something sort of non-traditional for a gift idea or in honor of someone they love. Through our connection to so many families that desperately need help, the dream to connect those families with people wishing to give in beautiful generous ways has taken root.

On November 9 - we built a house in honor of a man who a year ago on the 9th of November lost his life here on this earth. You can read more about his wife's journey on her blog at veronking2003.blogspot.com Sweet sweet family who horribly misses what must have been an incredible man. His impact has been amazing even on those who never knew him in this life and so we attempted to honor the man that he was in some sort of way that would have lasting impact. As a result two houses have now been built in his honor and his memory lives on even here in this little desperate country and has offered other families hope. That was the beginning of this "In Honor of You" project. We pray to continue to build a house every November 9th for a really long time in his honor. We are calling that specific project "Kings Quarters" as his name was Jeremy King.

Now we're on to Project #2. One of my dear friends wrote several days ago asking if I thought we could do something non-traditional for a birthday gift in honor of her sweet husband. He is turning 50 on the 22nd of November and she wanted to rally family and friends to help build a house in celebration of his birthday. His heart for the underprivileged and hopeless is clearly evident in the way that he lives his life so this seems like such an appropriate gift.

I will post more details in another post to explain how to become a part of this project. If you or anyone you know would like to "give" something that goes far beyond the new box of perfume or the gifts that sometimes run out quickly...this is one that lasts for a really really long time in really precious ways. Helping a family have a place to live and call home is a beautiful gift that honors everyone - most especially the God who smiles as we give ourselves away.

It is MY honor to join you in this quest.
